- Windows signals (by a sound) the drive insertion
- The WD Elements Drive is "listed under the USB icon"
Possible solution
Start the Windows "Disk Management tool":
- Klick on the Windows "Start" icon
- type "disk"
- chose "Create and format hard disk partitions"
If the WD Disk is listed without an assigned drive letter,
right click on the drive and choose "Change drive letter and path ..."
where you can assign a drive letter.
For example the result after having assigned the drive letter D: to the WD Disk 1:
Now the WD Drive should appear on the file explorer.
